A smooth-textured, graceful style, with complex earthy currant, sage, tobacco and pencil lead flavors that are focused, and gain intensity on the finish. Firmly tannic. 3,893 cases made.Author: James Laube

The Fay vineyard is always the most forward of the high end SLWC Cabernets. The '99 is no exception however as with many '99 Napa Cabernets this wine needs a little more time in the bottle to really shine. Taut yet strong nose of red fruits and spice. Slightly elevated acidity but otherwise the wine finishes with all the tell tale signs of classic California Cabernet.Drink Dates: 2006-2011Author: Daniel B
Stag's Leap Wine Cellars is one of Napa Valley's most established and respected producers. The winery was founded by Warren Winiarski and his family in 1970 and it is best known for estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignons - CASK 23, S.L.V., and FAY. Over the years, the wines have become some of the most highly regarded and collected wines worldwide. They are fashioned to express classic elegance, structure, and ageability, and to reflect the place in which they are grown.
