International Wine Cellar | Rating: 92Healthy red-ruby color. Musky, leesy aromas of bitter cherry and nutty, smoky oak. Rich, sappy, sweet and harmonious; a real wall of fruit. Opened with aeration to reveal complex flavors of raspberry, red cherry and rose petal, plus a suggestion of smoked meat on the strong finish. Tannins are buried by fruit extract. Very impressive.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: May/June 2001
Wine Spectator | Rating: 87Lots of smoky, charry oak up front, but there's also tasty, complex, earthy red cherry and raspberry flavors that are rich and focused.Drink Dates: 2002-2006Author: James Laube
