Full ruby-red. Very ripe aromas of blueberry, black cherry, currant and licorice. Sweet, lush and full; richer and suppler than the basic bottling. Finishes with even, tongue-dusting tannins and fat fruit.
Raised in 50% new oak, this wine displays pleasing aromas of candied cherries, mint, plum, and a touch of leather. On the palate, excessive tannins make their presence felt. Acidity is slightly elevated as well. Age will not help this out of balance wine.
