  • Wine Advocate | Rating: 89

The 1999 Corton-Charlemagne offers demure mineral and spice aromas. It is light to medium-bodied, tightly wound and austere, yet its white fruit and toast flavors linger throughout its extremely long finish.
    Author: Pierre Rovani
  • Rating: 92

Classic Corton-Charlemagne profile with its wonderfully complex, intensely mineral fruit and explosive, powerful flavors displaying a touch of oak though the flavors are sufficiently intense that the oak does not dominate. This finishes with true grand cru length and sneaky persistence.
    Issue: 3rd Quarter, 2001

  • In 1984, Olivier Leflaive decided to create a new vision for the wines of Burgundy with the help of his brother Patrick and his Uncle Vincent. He had one ambitious objective in mind - to apply their collective knowledge to the vinification of the best vineyards in Burgundy. Although Leflaive purchases fruit from many different vineyards, he is involved in many of the growing decisions.
