Bright ruby. Aromas of violet and smoked meat; less complex than the first Cazetiers cuvee but quite fine. Juicy and intensely flavored, but less liqueur-like and textured. With a bit less middle-palate stuffing, the tannins seem tougher.

After lots of California and Oregon Pinot, this brought everyone back to Burgundy, no contest.
