International Wine Cellar | Rating: 94Bright ruby-red. Complex, musky aromas of bitter cherry, raspberry, currant, iron and tobacco leaf. Juicy, sharply delineated and suave. Not an especially sweet wine but tightly coiled and sophisticated, with firm acids and nicely buffered tannins. Dark fruit flavors complemented by a light mintiness. This should develop slowly and well in bottle.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: May/June 2002
Wine Spectator | Rating: 88Intense and structured, with lively currant, herb, sage and bell pepper scents. Turns firm and taut on the finish, where it shows concentration and rich, earthy tannins.Author: James Laube
Wine Advocate | Rating: 87This offering lacked depth, persistence, and intensity. This single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is only sold at the winery's tasting room. Given the limited production, and the fact that the 1999s will not be released until spring, 2004, I have kept my tasting notes succinct.Author: Robert Parker
