($50) Deep, dark red with a faint purple edge. Wild, briary, spicy aromas of dark plum, blackcurrant, white pepper, clove and dried herbs. Smooth, willowy palate steeped in intense, spicy dark fruit flavors and tightly balanced with fine-grained tannins and vanillin oak. Very long on the finish. One for the cellar.

Brawny and flavorful, lavishly oaked but generous with its blackberry and dried cherry flavors, which persist right through the long, solid finish. Give it time. 700 cases imported.
