The 1997 Barolo Riserva Rocche dell'Annunziata is a deep garnet. Its full-barreled aromas of cinnamon, plums, and cedar announce flavors of superior ripeness and sweetness. Plush and sensual with an inner core of strength and length, and a gratifying finish of melting, mouth-coating tannins, it should be drunk between 2005-2018.

Very complex aromas of crushed flowers, plums and freshly cut porcini mushrooms. Full-bodied, with incredibly round and rich tannins and a very dense fruit structure. It goes on for minutes with the finish. The tannins of this wine are classic in every way.

Excellent, many years to go but no need to wait longer. Hitting stride now.

Established in 1921 in Castiglione Falletto, one of the historic Langhe townships, this estate is now entering its third generation of Barolo production. With a historic connection to the land at the forefront of the winemaking philosophy, this estate creates exceptional Barolos, Barberas, and Dolcettos. The Bric del Fiasc Barolo is the hallmark of the family's production, from a vineyard that always produced the best Nebbiolo fruit. In 1978, this fruit was vinified on its own for the first time and it has remained a special bottling ever since.
