1997 Jade Mountain Vineyard Syrah Paras Vineyard
UNITED STATES / CALIFORNIA / NAPA
International Wine Cellar | Rating: 88
Ruby-red. Aromatic nose of spicy black fruits, meat and smoked nuts. Rich and smoky in the mouth, with restrained sweetness and good but not outstanding depth. Tannins are smooth, but the finish shows some unabsorbed acidity and a hint of caraway seed. This bottle needs a bit of patience.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: November/December 2000

Deep, clear ruby in color with a nose of plum, black currant, and spice, this Syrah is tasting fantastic at 15 years of age. Layers of velvety black fruit, anise, and spice are the perfect foil for pork, lamb, or duck. There are enough ripe tannins here to expect several more years of life. Truly, this is wine that proves the old adage - |patience is a virtue.|Drink Dates: 2000-2012Author: Kottabos
