Dark ruby, with some red edge to it. Very ripe fruit on the nose, with a jammy raspberry and cherry character. Full-bodied, with polished tannins and a long finish. Just coming around now. -- 1997 Italian blind retrospective. Drink now.Author: James SucklingWine Advocate | Rating: 86
The single vineyard 1997 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna La Casa exhibits a medium garnet color as well as a sweet perfume of cherries, loamy soil scents, herbs, and a hint of tobacco. Lean, with high acidity as well as tannin, and a spicy, medium-bodied, shallow finish, it should be drunk between 2005-2012.Author: Robert Parker
