Dark middle with an evolved rim. Firm, aromatic cassis. Thick and dense and confident with real savour. Tannins in retreat. Very clean.

Fuller ruby-red. More subtle, perfumed aromas of black cherry, currant, and nutty, spicy oak. Supple and fleshy, with good depth of flavor and a ripe chocolatey quality. Offers good density and richness. Finishes with slightly aggressive tannins and very good length.

This is not a blockbuster, but it is a delicious bottle. Beautiful chocolate and berry character. Medium-bodied, with a good core of fruit and velvety tannins. Medium finish.

This well-made Cru Bourgeois exhibits a dark ruby color, and a round, attractive nose of black currants, raspberries, and earth. Medium-bodied, with sweet tannin and good purity, this wine should drink well for a decade.
