Wine Advocate | Rating: 94This is a magnificent Cabernet Sauvignon, but, lamentably, only 3 barrels (425 magnums) were produced as the vineyard is in the process of being replanted. The wine is powerful for a 1995, with an opaque purple color, and intensely ripe black currant aromas intermingled with smoke, pain grille, licorice, and chocolate. This deep, full-bodied, multi-layered wine is the essence of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. Although it reveals plenty of tannin, it is well-meshed in the wine's impressive richness and layered texture. Still youthful and grapy, this Cabernet will develop well for another 15-20+ years.Author: Robert Parker
Wine Spectator | Rating: 92Tightly wound, with dense, rich, well-focused cherry and currant flavor that's bright and vivid. This is a compact wine with lovely focus on the fruit, and smooth, polished tannins.Author: James Laube
