The 1990 Bric del Fiasc (5-liter) could not be more different than the 1989, yet it too is a compelling Barolo. Boasting masses of rich, concentrated fruit a fat, lush personality and fine, silky tannins, it is a beautifully balanced fruit-driven wine to drink now and over the next decade. A note of alcoholic warmth provides a heady, unforgettable finish.Author: Antonio GalloniWine Spectator | Rating: 93
Tannic, flavorful and complex, cascading its licorice, black cherry, berry, tar and earth flavors across the palate. Sweet and elegant on the finish beneath the layer of chewy tannins.

Nearly opaque red brown. Huge mature nose of tar and truffles lacks the complexity of earlier examples. Big and sweet in the mouth with fading dusty tannins. For me past it's prime, but those who favor older Barolos will likely rate this higher.Drink Dates: 2016-2020Author: Brock M
Established in 1921 in Castiglione Falletto, one of the historic Langhe townships, this estate is now entering its third generation of Barolo production. With a historic connection to the land at the forefront of the winemaking philosophy, this estate creates exceptional Barolos, Barberas, and Dolcettos. The Bric del Fiasc Barolo is the hallmark of the family's production, from a vineyard that always produced the best Nebbiolo fruit. In 1978, this fruit was vinified on its own for the first time and it has remained a special bottling ever since.
