Gorgeous, firm wine. Good dark ruby color. Lovely berry, cherry, currant aromas. Full-bodied, with firm, well-integrated tannins and a long finish. Needs time.--1990 Bordeaux retrospective. 13,000 cases made.Author: James SucklingBordeaux Book(1998) | Rating: 88
The 1990, with its lead pencil and cassis-scented nose, is firm and unevolved, but there appears to be more on the palate and the finish is longer. There is a strong weedy, cassis, Cabernet character to the wine, as well as a sense of elegance, balance, rich extract, and tannin.Author: Robert Parker
