Bright and focused, maturing and somewhat lean, with black cherry, orange peel and tobacco flavors.--Red Burgundy vertical.Author: Per-Henrik ManssonBurghound | Rating: 87
The nose is rather reserved and almost austere with noticeable secondary aromas present. There is good richness to the robust and still firmly structured yet surprisingly light flavors and not quite enough sŠve to adequately buffer the tannins. Optimists will continue to hold this and hope the wine balances out with time. I would choose to open this over the next decade with appropriate food as it will assist in rounding off what are at present somewhat astringent tannins.Author: Allen MeadowsIssue: 4th Quarter, 2005

Comte de Vogue is often considered the greatest wine estate in Chambolle-Musigny. It traces its history back to 1450 and amazingly, after 20 generations, the same family still runs the show. The domaine owns 7.25 hectares of the Le Musigny vineyard; these average 40 years old and are labeled Vieilles Vignes. The property also includes smaller holdings of Bonnes-Mares and Premier Cru Chambolle-Musigny. The blending of tradition and modernity in winemaking has resulted in wines that are revered by critics and wine lovers around the world.
