Dark, ripe, rich and intense, with a solid core of currant, anise, berry and spice, picking up a trace of cedary oak. With breathing, it shows more finesse and polish. Still a long way to go.

There has been no evolution to the dark, opaque purple color of this wine. The bouquet remains tightly knit, with little development other than the grapy aromas of rich, jammy cassis, vanillin, subtle herbs, as well as a touch of licorice. The wine is super-rich, full-bodied, with layers of fruit, gobs of tannin, adequate acidity, and a blockbuster finish. This young, highly promising Cabernet Sauvignon has a minimum of 20 years of evolution ahead of it. It remains extremely unevolved and youthful.
