1985 Simi Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley Reserve
UNITED STATES / CALIFORNIA / SONOMA
Wine Advocate | Rating: 90
This wine has been consistently outstanding on every occasion I have tasted it. It is a rich, deeply colored wine with an attractive, complex, spicy, cedary, cassis-scented nose, medium to full body, rich flavors, considerable youthfulness to its personality, and a long, rich, moderately tannic, elegant finish. Drinkable, but still young and evolved, it should continue to age well for 10-15+ years.Author: Robert ParkerWine Spectator | Rating: 94
Dense, rich and complex, this wine keeps unfolding with every sip, offering coffee, cherry, nutmeg, plum, and then herb and currant flavors and a velvety texture. 2,300 cases made.
