1969 Maison Joseph Drouhin Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru
FRANCE / BURGUNDY / GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN
Burghound | Rating: 89
Remarkably, there are still vestiges of primary fruit that add nuance and freshness to the earthy secondary aromas that include spice, game and underbrush. The still vibrant flavors display good detail and precision with more balanced acid that most '69s these days though the finish is now leaning out. I would be drinking this sooner than later as the balance will likely begin to suffer over time as the acidity may very well dominate the finish.Author: Allen Meadows
