Good medium red. Aromas of cherry, raspberry, spices, brown sugar and flowers show a slightly wild quality. Supple and sweet in the mouth, offering a lush texture to its flavors of smoky spiced meats but not quite the aromatic complexity of expansiveness of the 1970. The thick finish shows a lightly saline quality and utterly suave tannins. This offers great appeal already but has the balance to go on for a couple more decades.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: May/June 2013Wine Spectator | Rating: 95
This is exciting to drink now but try to hold yourself back. Deep ruby, with a ripe cassis and plum nose, lots of cassis, vanilla and fruit flavors, medium tannins and a long finish.Author: James Suckling
