Pinot Blanc
Pinot Blanc is a genetic clone of Pinot Gris, which in turn is related to the Pinot Noir grape. Highly acidic, crisp, and lightly aromatic, Pinot Blanc is primarily grown in France's Alsace region, Germany, Italy, Eastern Europe, and the United States. The French sometimes call this variety Klevner, while Italians refer to it as Pinot Bianco. Typical descriptors include pears, apples, melons, honey, wax, and minerals.
