($50) Bright yellow. Musky peach, pear and apple fruit aromas and flavors are complicated by flowers and herbs. Concentration and precise, with a dusty impression of extract and very good length. Quite strong for this no-malo chardonnay. Bo Barrett is now vinifying with a higher percentage of whole clusters and getting less bitterness as a result. “So now we don't need as much new oak to compensate,” he noted, adding that 2007 was an outstanding vintage for chardonnay as there was no heat stress.

Bright and crisp upfront with lots of green apple Typical butter and vanilla that is the signature of a grand chard. Nose of melon and lemon peel. Mouthfeel was medium and crisp. Finish not as long as anticipated. Light oak, very much a classic french chablis style.
Not what I was expecting. A bit green, slight mineral notes and acidic. Improved once the wine was at room temperature, yet I'm not sure this has the stuffing to age.
Minerals come through in the nose and stone fruit on the palate. A little bitter overall and rather strong for a Chardonnay but looks as if it will get better with age.
