Provence
Provence lies in the stretch of land between the Southern Rhone valley and the Italian border. Over half of the region's production is dedicated to rose, the style of wine for which this region is famous. Both red and rose wines are produced from Syrah, Grenache noir, Carignan, and an assortment of other grapes. The best-known AOC of the region is Bandol, where Mourvedre blended with Grenache noir and Cinsault produces exceptional dry rose and the most admired red wine of the region.
