1990 Montrose
Again this wine delivers the goods. Stunningly opulent. Just the right balance of sweetness, acidity, structure, mouthfeel and length. This time I didn't decant and it wasn't lacking in any manner. There is still a freshness to the wine although it shows a certain maturity. I guess 20 years old is how I like them - lol. 50+10+10+20+10=100

1994 Joseph Phelps - Insignia
This is my fourth "cult" Napa wine from this vintage after Harlan, Dominus and Bryant Family. Could there ever be another vintage to rival 1994? The balance and structure of these wines has simply been outstanding. with each tasting experience (btw I'm hoping 2007 turns out to be similar). The 94 Insignia is still an infant with plenty of acidity and structure to suggest a long life ahead. In spite of it's youthful virtues, the wine demonstrates class and maturity with a beautiful balance of fruit, tannins and acidity. Perhaps not as striking as a 94 Harlan or Bryant, this is a still superb blend that any Napa fan should seek out. Consumed over a business lunch so I don't have too many descriptives but suffice it to say i'm VERY happy to have a few bottles left. 50+9+9+19+9=96
