2004
Togni, Philip - Cabernet Sauvignon Tanbark Hill Vineyard
Color was a dark brick red. Togni bottles his wines unfiltered, and it shows. Pop and pour: There's a nice color complexity that you don't see from filtered wines. The wine smelled like olive, menthol and even a little floral. Palette has cherry, oak, a thick and coating wine. Long solid finish.
After one hour decant the wine was much bigger up front, both on the nose and palette. There was a lot more finesse in the wine as it delivered up front, in the middle, and on the finish. Much improved.
2006
Breggo - Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard
Nice light red color. Toasted oak on the nose, a little vanilla. Very little fruit on the nose or palette. Light mouthfeel but slow-rolls you to a gigantic finish. Manages to hit every one of your senses but stay light and fresh. Some heat on the back too, it sort of lingers about like it has no place else to be at the moment.
After 30-45 minutes in the glass, the fruit came out of this one. Cherry with a little bit of sour in there. Much more complexity. More balanced between fruit, oak, tannin, alcohol; very rounded out. Almost a stickyness about it, like I was digging the wine out of my gums for twenty minutes.
Ultimately, not my exact style of Pinot but very much enjoyed nonetheless.

Puppeteer Sparkling Chardonnay
Something seriously off here which was weird since I really liked this wine the first time I had it. Normal aromas and palette, but finish just left this garbage aftertaste that I couldn't put up with.

Puppeteer Sparkling Chardonnay
Very nice value sparkling. Good fruit but still nice and clean.
2008
Domaine du Bois de Saint-Jean Cotes du Rhone
Something seriously out of balance here. Off aftertaste and finish. Couldn't pinpoint what is was but it made the wine undrinkable.
