Bernard Burgaud - Cote-Rotie
Med.-dark still youthful color; big nose of black fruit and smoked meat; similar flavors on the palate with additional depth and spice; rich & complex; well-integrated soft tannins; excellent balance; very long enjoyable finish. An outstanding Cote Rotie drinking beautifully now and with plenty of life ahead

Nicolas Potel - Volnay Vieilles Vignes
Consistent notes for this village-level Volnay with no major faults. Med.-full mahogany red color; attractive nose of mixed fruit - very fragrant; med.-full body; fruit seems a bit dried out/astringent for the vintage; not bad for a village wine.

Neyers - Zinfandel High Valley Vineyards
Consistent notes. Very youthful purple color; lovely nose of black fruit, earth & spice; similar flavors on the palate; quite extracted and rich sweet fruit with a good tannic backbone suggest further aging potential; some heat from the 15.3% alcohol. Benefitted from decanting for an hour before drinking. Excellent Zin.

Consistent excellent Bordeaux. Medium ruby color w/amber edge; Plenty of substance on the nose; fruit, cedar, & haberdashery; plenty of vigor on the palate; good depth & good grip; fullish body; very lovely concentrated, black fruit; integrated oak and soft tannins; intense & classy; very long. Fully mature but will hold for several more years. A real pleasure.
