2002
Cohn, BR - Cabernet Sauvignon Olive Hill Vineyard Estate
Nothing amazing or overly impressive. Some dark fruit, decent length, mild tannin.
2006
Mark David - Cabernet Franc Pine Mountain Vineyard
Concentrated, lush fruit on opening. Definitely not Chinon at first! This is round, forgiving, juicy, and brambly, but shows a little heat. After 2-3 hrs open, it was pleasant and approachable, with dark fruit, though a bit simple. Tasted more like "typical" Cab Franc toward the end of the bottle. Interesting transformation and all in all, a tasty wine for a bbq night.
2007
Coterie - Pinot Noir Saralee's Vineyard
Beautiful, clean nose of typical Russian River cherry. Well-structured with ample tannin and baking spice and cola. A bit disjointed for now.
2006
Kistler - Chardonnay Les Noisetiers (Sonoma Coast)
Shy on opening, picked up nose of citrus and (later) canned peaches. Weight on the midpalate, perfect with roast chicken. Oak integrated from tasting a year ago. Slight heat on nose and backend. Overall, not overly robust, not profound, just nice.
2004
Hugel & Fils - Gewurztraminer Jubilee
Flabbier than I remember tasting it at Hugel (always the case). Funky on opening, but blew off to show floral and spice notes that were pretty if a bit heavy.
