2004
Donnhoff - Oberhauser Brucke Riesling Spatlese
Really delicious Spatlese with great flavors of ripe stone fruit and juicy citrus with honey. Mouth-coating and broad, but framed by fresh acidity. A little short on the finish, but nothing to complain about. Great value!
2010
Chiarli - Lambrusco di di Sorbara Premium
A fun wine, great for hot summer days. Not going to blow your mind, but for the price, a lot of fun.
2008
Luciano Sandrone - Nebbiolo d'Alba Valmaggiore
Has opened up considerably since last tasted 4 months ago. Lush nose of pretty dark fruit and the typical tar and floral notes. Medium bodied with no heaviness. Has shed the youthful tannins that were dominant on the finish earlier. A great value, delicious Nebbiolo!
2008
Perrot-Minot (Domaine) - Gevrey-Chambertin
Toasty oak on the nose leads to sour cherry and cranberry flavors. Earth and mineral complete the experience. Definitely a nice village level wine to enjoy with lighter food in the near term.
2008
Dujac - Morey St-Denis
This one takes a little time to come around, but with air the darker (but not dark) fruit and spice characteristics kick in, with a nice floral element on the nose. Shows good concentration and depth for the level.
