RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

2007 Vincent & Sophie Morey - Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot 1er Cru
Really nice light yellow color. Citrus and crushed rocks on nose, same on palette with great acidity, lemon-curd deliciousness. A favorite over many occasions.

2006 Black Kite - Pinot Noir Stony Terrace
My favorite of the three Black Kites tasted from 2006 (stony terrace, kite's rest and ). Lighter ruby color, Dijon clone nose of earth, sandalwood, dried rose petals and some oak present. Medium-bodied on the palette, sweet and sour cherries, a slight toasted sugar/caramel note, and more floral characteristics at the back. Pleasant surprise.

2005 Hureau - Saumur Champigny Cuvee Lisagathe
Garnet color, strawberry/red currant fruits featured prominently, with minerality. Little oak. Nice Loire cab franc.

2002 Michel Gros - Vosne-Romanee Les Brulees 1er Cru
Cherry, cola, asian spice box and earth crowded out by VA and bret. Update from day 2: Silky nouthfeel, firm tannins, nice acid and VA blew off eventually, but can't get past the bret. I have tasted several of MG's wines from different appellations and vintages, and I have to conclude that this is part of his winemaking style. Fine, but not my cup of pinot.

2003 Viader - Red
Delicious food wine, really sang with prime rib. Great purple color, cedar, earth, stewed cherries, spice box. Tried twice before, best showing for this vintage yet.
