Chateau Sigalas-Rabaud
A 1er Cru Sauternes located in the commune of Bommes, Sigalas-Rabaud was once part of the larger Rabaud estate until it was split with what is now Rabaud-Promis in 1903. Currently covering approximately 14 ha (making it the smallest 1er Cru estate in Sauternes) and producing nearly 2500 cases, the wine is almost entirely Semillon, with 2% or less Sauvignon Blanc included in the final blend each year. All of the estate's vines average greater than 40 years of age and the fruit is fermented in steel before aging in a combination of both steel and oak.
