Seven Stones
Ron and Anita Wornick purchased the last un-developed parcel from the original Meadowood development in 1995 and began the nearly decade-long process of clearing the rocks from what would eventually be their home and vineyard. The winery gets its name from a granite slab sculture that is the focal point of the compound. The first vines were planted in 1995 and the premiere release of the David Abreu-developed property is 2005. Wornick's background is in food science and his company was selected by the US military to produce the MRE (Meals, Ready to Eat) that revolutionized food delivery in the field. Additionally, over the last thirty years he and Anita have developed one of the most important contemporary craft collections in the world. The winemaking team is Aaron Pott, assisted by Roy Piper.
