Chateau Rabaud-Promis
Rabaud-Promis was originally part of the larger Chateau Rabaud estate. In 1903 Rabaud was split into two separate estates - Sigalas-Rabaud and Rabaud-Promis - and despite the two properties being briefly reunited in 1929, they were partitioned again in 1952 which is how they remain today.
Rabaud-Promis is located in the commune of Bommes and its 33 hectares of vineyards border those of former partner Sigalas-Ribaud. The wine is typically a blend of 80% Semillon, 18% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Muscadelle and it is aged in oak barrels (33% of which are new) for 15 months before bottling.
