Chateau Poujeaux
Located in Moulis, a Medoc commune without any classed growth estates, Chateau Poujeaux is one of the top properties in this tiny region. Designated as a Cru Bourgeois estate, Chateau Poujeaux maintains 52 ha. of vineyards which sit on a solid gravel foundation. The vineyards are comprised of approximately 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot, with an average vine age of 35 years. All fruit is harvested by hand, and the wines are aged in 50% new and 50% neutral oak barrels for up to one year.
