Domaines Ott
Marcel Ott, an Alsatian agricultural engineer with a pioneer spirit, set out to create a wine-producing estate in 1896. His first attempts were in the region of Cavalaire. It was in 1912, however, at Chateau de Selle, that Ott's family adventure was ultimately launched. The Ott family expanded its holdings when it acquired two estates in the Var: Le Clos Mireille in 1936 and Chateau Romassan in 1956. As early as 1930, the "Coeur de Grain" rose made its way over the border. Today, the elegant, prestigious vintages produced by Domaines Ott can be found the world over.
Ott's three domaines (Chateau de Selle, Le Clos Mireille, and Chateau Romassan) produce red, white, and rose wines from the Bandol and Cotes de Provence AOCs. In addition, Domaines Ott has an offshoot brand, Ott Selection, which features other Provencal wines under the label "Les Domaniers."
