Hans Wirsching
The Wirsching family has been growing and producing Silvaner, Riesling, and Muller Thurgau, among varieties, in the Franken wine region for 15 generations. The estate maintains 75 ha of low-yielding vineyards at the foot of the Schwanberg mountain in the Iphofer village. Here the Keuper gypsum soils add minerality, and the mild climate allows for the development of full fruit flavors. Of special note are the muti-layered wines from the vineyard Julius-Echter-Berg, a "Great Growth" in the German classification system.
