Chateau Gilette
Chateau Gilette utilizes the unique practice of extremely long-term storage before releasing their wines. The wine is actually stored in the same concrete tanks in which it is fermented for between fifteen and eighteen years before it is bottled. The wine is then stored for a further three to five years before it available for sale. The vineyard at Chateau Gilette is also very small, only 4.5 hectares, and it is planted with 85% Semillon, 10% Sauvignon and 5% Muscadelle.
