Finca Sandoval

Finca Sandoval
The Castilla-La Mancha region produces 50% of the wine in Spain. However, not until about 10 years ago did the production begin to include some of the stars of the country. One of the best known revolutionaries of this trend is Victor de la Serna, an important Spanish wine and food journalist. The vineyard's name is actually an homage to his mother's family, who provided the financial support to secure the estate. His superb Syrah-based effort comes from the long-forgotten Manchuela appellation and is highlighted by smidgens of Monastrell (Mourvedre) and Bobal (an indigenous grape).
