Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé
Comte de Vogüé is often considered the greatest wine estate in Chambolle-Musigny. This estate traces its history back to 1450 and amazingly, after 20 generations, the same family still runs the show. Some of the key players at Comte de Vogüé include estate manager Jean-Luc Pepin, winemaker François Millet and vineyard manager Eric Bourgogne. The domaine owns 7.25 hectares of the Le Musigny vineyard, whose vines' average age is 40 years and are labeled as Vieilles Vignes. The property also includes smaller holdings of Bonnes-Mares and Prémier Cru Chambolle-Musigny. The blending of tradition and modernity in winemaking has resulted in wines that are revered by critics and wine lovers around the world.
