Bethel Heights Vineyard
As one of the first vineyards in the Eola Hills, Bethel Heights is a true Oregon wine pioneer. Five family members have owned and operated the property since 1978, with twin brothers Ted and Terry Casteel heading up vineyard management and winemaking duties, respectively. The 50 acres of vineyard land is dominated by Pinot Noir, with smaller amounts of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Gris. In 1984 the family partnership established the winery, naming it after the Bethel Heights Walnut Groves, which were planted on the property in 1909. Focusing on clonally diverse Pinot Noir, Bethel Heights is among the top producers in the Willamette Valley.
