Baker Lane Vineyards
With a commitment to sustainability, Baker Lane has gone to great lengths to manage their Sebastopol vineyards in the most environmentally conscious manner possible. The management team has taken several important steps to protect and ensure the continued success of the vineyard environment. This includes the creation of a property-wide system of drains, the utilization of solar power and recycled materials wherever possible, and a strict adherence to organic farming practices. The Estate is also now beginning the process of bio-dynamic certification.
The Ramondo vineyard is adjacent to the Baker Lane Estate vineyard. It is comprised of 4 acres of Pinot Noir and 1.25 acres of Syrah, and in the cool Sonoma Coast climate, both varieties excel at the site. In assuming agricultural responsibility for the vineyard (in particular, working hard to control yields) the Baker Lane winemaking team has concluded that the Ramondo vineyard is an outstanding addition to their portfolio of wines.
