Vinfolio announces partnership with CellarTracker!
Groundbreaking partnership allows CellarTracker users to sell wine in the Vinfolio Marketplace
San Francisco, CA, May 21, 2009 - Vinfolio, a fine wine and collector services company and CellarTracker, the largest wine cellar inventory management tool, announced plans to integrate CellarTracker with Vinfolio’s recently announced Vinfolio Marketplace, a fine wine online marketplace for buying and selling the aggregated contents of privately owned cellars. The addition of CellarTracker as a source for wine in the Marketplace to VinCellar, Vinfolio’s online cellar management application, brings together over 135,000 users with more than 12 million bottles at an estimated value over $2 billion. This groundbreaking partnership of the two leaders in online cellar management allows CellarTracker’s 80,000+ users to sell wine through what promises to be the single largest aggregated supply of fine wine in the world.
“We are thrilled that CellarTracker users will be a part of the Vinfolio Marketplace,” said Vinfolio CEO and Founder, Steve Bachmann, “By opening the Vinfolio Marketplace to users of other cellar management platforms, we increase the value to all participants – both buyers and sellers.” VinCellar and CellarTracker were listed as the most innovative and valuable networks in the recently published report, The State of Wine Industry Social Media by Vintank. As part of the integration, CellarTracker users will be able to sell wine and accept bids placed through the Vinfolio Marketplace directly from their accounts on CellarTracker.com.
“Most wine collectors find themselves in the position to sell wine at some point, and this has been one of the most common customer requests over the past five years,” said Eric LeVine, Founder and CEO of CellarTracker, “By collaborating with Vinfolio, I am excited to help make it easy for collectors to buy and sell wine to diversify their collections.”
As a first phase in the development of the Vinfolio Marketplace, VinCellar and CellarTracker users will be able to mark wines for sale directly from their online accounts. The Vinfolio Marketplace opens for bids starting in early July 2009 as part of the Vinfolio ecommerce store.
