We have added 397 new wines to our inventory over the last week.
As April draws to a close, we have been very busy filling our current collection with tempting titles. We acquired some more of an Austrian favorite, the popular 2006 Emmerich Knoll Gruner Veltliner Kreutles Smaragd (91 IWC). This is a fantastically refreshing choice for the upcoming summer months.
On the opposite end of the spectrum is the 2005 J C Conde Neo Punta Esencia (96 RP) from Ribera del Duero. Robert Parker recommends cellaring this "behemoth" for at least 10 years; be assured, patience will have its rewards! Our most recent Tuscan purchase is the 2003 Rasina Brunello di Montalcino (93 VF). Its tobacco and ripe cherry make it our wine Buyers' favorites of the vintage.
Finally, we have happily re-stocked the Domaine Pallieres Gigondas (92 IWC), a beautiful "baby" Chateauneuf. This wine is the perfect accompaniment to roast chicken, steak-frites, and myriad other Parisian bistro-style dishes.
