The 2009 Bordeaux Vintage

"I have tasted all the 2009 Bordeaux first-growths over the past two days while on a tasting road trip through Pessac-Léognan and the Médoc, the Holy Grail area for Cabernet Sauvignon in Bordeaux. And, as you probably expected, their 2009s are excellent from barrel. A couple are amazing, notably Mouton-Rothschild and Latour.

"I am already saving what few pennies I have left to try to buy some when they come out."

- James Suckling, Wine Spectator

About Berry Bros & Rudd

Berry Bros. & Rudd is Britain's oldest wine and spirit merchant, having traded from the same shop for over 300 years. The business was established in 1698 by the Widow Bourne at 3 St James's Street, London. Today members of the Berry and Rudd families continue to own and manage the family-run wine merchant. Whilst Berrys continues to grow and prosper, above all, it appreciates that wine is meant to be enjoyed and that all wine knowledge in the world can be distilled into one simple question – "Is it good to drink?"

FAQs

Q:

What does the initial purchase price include?

A:

The listed purchase price includes the wine, in case quantity, and delivery to Berry Bros. & Rudd warehouse in the UK in 2012. Prices may vary due to fluctuations in currency and the market and to stock not being sold.

Q:

Are there additional duties and fees that will need to be paid? If so, when?

A:

You will receive email notification from Berry Bros when the wine has been received at their bonded warehouse in the UK. The wine will be held there until you decide to ship it. When the wine is taken out of bond, duty and VAT at the prevailing (2012) rates will apply.

Q:

How will the wine be delivered to the States? Where and when will it be delivered? Will there be an additional shipping/delivery cost?

A:

You may choose to have the wine shipped to you or to a storage facility of your choice. You will be responsible for shipping/delivery costs at the prevailing (2012) rates.

Q:

Will BBR handle the complete transaction or will Vinfolio be handling any part?

A:

Vinfolio will not be taking possession of the wine at any time. Berry Bros will contact you when your wine has arrived in the UK and all shipping/delivery arrangements will be made through them.
