When you add the My VinCellar Application to your Facebook account, it enables you to share your VinCellar activities with friends.

You can:
  1. View your friends’ recently added wines.
  2. View your friends’ recently removed and consumed wines.
  3. Notify friends through News Feed and Mini Feed posts of your recent activities.
  4. Display a box on your profile showing your recent activities.
  5. Invite your friends to use the My Vincellar Application.

We will be updating the application on a regular basis with new features and would like to hear your opinion so that we can make it work better for you.

The forum is a good way to ask questions about the application or give feedback. cool.gif

Not having much luck here! When I add it to my facebook profile, and takes me to a Vinfolio login page, and then I get

We're sorry, there was a problem handling your request

Any ideas?

Hey Andrew,

We're taking a look at the problem now and addressing it as quick as possible. The error I see you getting from Facebook leads me to suggest to try adding the application and go through the process again at a later time. If the problem happens again let me know. I will also let you know when we fix the issue!

not working for me either. tried uninstalling and reinstalling it--same error. tried to fix the link between fb and myvinfolio and it just takes me to the vinfolio home page

this is the link that it tries to go to, but doesn't: http://www.vinfolio.com/do/security/login?fb_install=1

What browser are you using? One thing I would suggest to try is to clear both your cache and cookies in your browser, then visiting that link again.

The FB widget works swimmingly! What triggers vinfolio to "publish" the feed into FB? Sometimes it seems quite fast (almost instant w.r.t. a purchase I made on vinfolio.com) and other times there's a lag (not an unacceptable lag, since it really isn't time-sensitive).

Yes, we've recently implemented improvements to our Facebook integration. We've created a job that checks for VinCellar updates hourly for posting to Facebook. Thanks for the feedback. Glad you've found the integration useful.

Yes, we are having new issues with our integration with Facebook and are working on them now. In my personal account when I switched the My VinCellar application from the 'Boxes' tab to my 'Wall' the application was fine. We are looking into various issues now and will post as soon as we have an update.

We are actively fixing the issues and expect to release within the next two weeks.

When the updates are released you will only need to take action if you prefer to have the application update while you are offline. I will have instructions for setting that preference when we release.
