Hello,
Would it be possible to add a 'save for later' cart, in addition to the shopping cart? Ideally, it would be kept around even if the item goes out of stock before purchase, as a reminder of goodies found while browsing, but perhaps out of this months budget. Also, I still feel a little uncomfortable shipping inventory in the sunny California climate. How about a monthly/quarterly Vinfolio delivery (in the aircon van) to LA and San Diego? Cheers, Andy |

Yes, a "save for later" for the cart is already in the product features queue.
We're not likely to do any direct deliveries to LA or San Diego in a Vinfolio vehicle any time soon. There are freight forwarders we use all the time who do transfers in temperature-controlled trucks. Typically the breakeven quantity needed to beat Fedex costs is around 25-30 cases per shipment. Depending on how you value the benefit of the shipment being temperature controlled, you could rationalize a lower breakeven quantity. Given that you can aggregate purchases in our temperature controlled warehouse with 6 months of free shipping on all purchases and depending on the volume of your purchases, this may or may not be a solution for you. -------------------- |

I think the value of such a service depends on how important the wine is/ the cost of the wine involved. For me, the 6 month storage and 'ship-when-its-cold' method works 90% of the time -- but for that precious 10% I can't bear to lose, a quarterly, temperature controlled option could be a good choice, even at a premium. I'd love to see you do in San Diego/ LA what you are doing in San Francisco with local deliveries. |

Your comments are noted but I don't think we will be doing local deliveries in LA unless we decide to create a local operation there at some point. Realistically, San Diego will not happen as it is too small a market.
