Dear friends,

I notice that many of the entries in the wine store and some elsewhere for German wines are confusing and insufficient to identify what is actually for sale. How do I go about requesting more accurate information? Do I contact the seller? VinFolio?

If you want an example, one wine offered is the 2005 Joh Jos Prum Wehlener Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling feinste Auslese. This could be one of approximately three more different wine bottlings which vary in style, quality, and price. To my knowledge no Wehlener Zeltinger Sonnenuhr wines were marketed representing that vintage. The term 'feinste Auslese' is not used since 1971 on labels, and other descriptors must be used.

To whom do I go to get the information I require?

Best, John H Trombley
