Your Suggestions On New Marketplace Search Filters Options

With over 250,000 owned items in the Marketplace and over 40,000 unique items marked for sale, advanced search capabilities (coming soon) and more filters (to refine searches) will help you browse or search through available wines. We've had some ideas for specific filters to add but we'd also like to hear from our users. To remind you of Marketplace-specific filters that we have now:

1. Location - In Vinfolio storage or offsite.
2. Low ask - By price bucket
3. High bid - By price bucket
4. Marked for sale - Yes or no

To get your wheels turning on other ideas, here are some new Marketplace-specific filters that we're considering adding:

1. Seller count (number of sellers) - This impacts how many potential people your bid goes to and increases your odds of success.
2. Quantity for sale - Again, may be more likely to have multiple sellers and sufficient amount for what you are seeking.
3. Active bid count - Helps identify wines where active bidding is going on.
4. Suggested price - We're replacing average U.S. retail price in our next software release with "suggested price". Note this value will be populated (in the following priority order) whenever data is available with Marketplace transaction average, auction results average from WinePrices.com, or the U.S. retail low price.

OK, I'm commenting on my own post but wanted to add a few more Marketplace-specific filter ideas which came up for your input:

1. Asking price count – Helps identify wines where more active sellers have set asking prices. Measures number of current asking prices set for a wine.
2. Low ask below suggested price – Selects wine where the low ask is below the current Vinfolio “suggested price” per the methodology outlined in the “Suggested Price” filter description.
3. Bid accepted in last 14 days – Selects wine where a bid has been accepted in the past 2 weeks.
4. Buy Now price – Yes or no (Buy Now option enabled in mid-October)
