Cool idea, seems easy to use.

Is there a way I can list only those with a "Low Ask"? If I meet the Low Ask price, there would be an instant sale?

Now if only people would stopping offering their wine at 20% over what I can get it for at any online store laugh.gif

I'm sure Market forces will come into play... God, I love Capitalism rolleyes.gif

Thank you for posting. I appreciate your sentiment.

You can filter the Marketplace listing to view only wines with a Low asking price by using the "Low ask" filter in the Narrow further section on the left navigation bar.

We will be implementing 'auto-accept' functionality. Sellers with wine in Vinfolio storage will be able to establish “auto accept” rules to get first crack at bids over their minimum price (which will be required to use the auto accept feature). A bid placed on a wine meeting their minimum price would be automatically accepted resulting in an "instant sale".

i'm not understanding how there is say 1 quantity for sale, I got to bid and N/A is there instead of a dollar amount. I'm guessing a bid / price range is not a requirment to place a bottle in marketplace? i wish there were at least some type of range on the low end. what happens with a 2000 petrus for example, says N/A, and I put down $10? they counter? i believe it should be a requirement when placing a bottle in marketplace to have at least a bid low posted via the sellar.

Thank you for posting. Your assumption is correct. A seller is not required to enter an asking price when listing wine in the Marketplace. However, in the absence of an asking price, you can reference Vinfolio’s up-to-date retail and auction pricing and, in the longer term, completed Marketplace transaction history. You may use this information to determine a reasonable price that a seller may accept. Sellers have access to the same information.

In response to a reasonable bid, a seller can choose to accept the bid, ignore the bid or they might enter an asking price to signal to you, the bidder, a price that they might be willing to accept for their wine. As a bidder, you would respond by editing your bid price.

Here is a link to the Marketplace FAQs if you’re interested in reading more information on bidding in the Marketplace.

Good luck!
