Château Margaux is one of the five First Growths ranked in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. The château is located within the commune of Margaux in the Haut-Médoc in the 15th century fortified castle called Lamoth. Grapes have been cultivated on the property since the 16th century. Decanted 3 hours in advance. Still very youthful in color and aromas. Needs time to open; and when it does goes on and on. A textbook example of elegance and concentration. Impressive now, but still needs time.

Auction stored for about a year. Opened and left undisturbed for 12 hours before serving. This wine is a 25 year old triumph. Perfumed nose, core of dark fruit and deep woodsy loam. Mouth-filling, extremely long. An absolute pleasure.
