($18) Bright, medium ruby-red. Slightly reduced nose offers musky black fruits and smoke. Lush and rather suave on the palate, with a restrained sweetness and an impression of soil tones to its dark berry and smoky flavors. Conveys a saline impression of chewy extract. Seems a bit imploded today but with plenty of brooding energy. Best on the vibrant back end, which offers very good grip.
