Full dark red. Musky aromas of strawberry, leather and game; a bit rustic. Supple on entry, then gamey in the middle and turning a bit sharp and dry toward the back. Is there enough intensity of material here to support the oak? I find too much animal and not enough floral character. (Incidentally, my taste of the '05 version suggests that the new vintage will surpass this 2004.)
