A proper wee beastie of primarily Mourvedre, with about 15% Syrah to civilize it. Very tempting with its layered bouquet of meaty blackberry, grilled earth and oak-laced plums. The first mouthful introduces a very simple, straightforward structure of smoky plum and violets and black forest fruit. Combine this with the pure acid rush and shadowy tannins and you have an honest, rustic country wine that performs in all sorts of grill and picnic productions.
